August NE trip

We headed for Nebraska on August 21st for Uncle Philly and Rawley's wedding reception, since we couldn't go to the wedding in Maui b/c mommy didn't think she could take an 8 hour flight while she was 29 weeks preggo we decided a 2 hour flight was doable. We arrived on Friday and as soon as we got to G&G Hingst's house you ran to the backyard and stripped down nekki to play and didn't want to leave the green grass! Uncle Mark and Carrie came to get you a little later and you spent your FIRST NIGHT AWAY from mommy and daddy!! Grandma and Grandpa & Uncle Kurt came and stayed with you at Carrie's parent's house in Seward, so you had tons of attention and loved having it all on you! You had pizza for dinner and when I called to check on you that night they said you had fallen asleep watching the movie Cars with everyone. You slept in between Grandma and Grandpa that night, Grandma said she couldn't sleep b/c she was worried Grandpa was going to role onto you but she said he didn't move all night.
The wedding reception was lots of fun, it was so nice to see so many friends in one spot and Rawley and Philly seemed very happy. Mommy hung until 3am with the drinkers, I guess I'm not as old as I thought I was :) And they didn't even get annoyingly drunk for your sober, pregnant mommy!
The next day we met you at Carrie's parent's house for lunch and you had to show us all the cool toys that they had out for you, the motorized train was the coolest! Carrie's parents had a yummy lunch for everyone and daddy fell in love with their property b/c of all the trees and green! He's hoping he can find land like that someday to design and build us a house on (mommy hopes so too!).
After lunch we headed to the Embassy suites hoping to swim, but the pool was closed for chemical check, so we hung out in the lobby with your uncles, Carrie, and both sets of Grandparents and you slept most of the time on Daddy's chest, they must have wore you out at Carrie's! We had yummy Lazlo's for dinner and the Ivana Cone, the best ice cream ever! They make it all right there in the shop, you thought it was so cool to see the ice cream churning.
On Sunday you got to go shopping with Grandma W for a toy and loved spending her "meme" on yourself:) And that night Gabe came over to G&G Hingst's house to play, you love playing with your cool older cousin! Monday we went into Lincoln to see the trains again and feed the geese and that night you had a water fight with Gabe and you both giggled for hours together getting "crazy" as Gabe put it:) You were Gabe's little shadow and wanted to do everything just like him. Sometimes he'd tell you "that isn't how 1st graders act" and we all would laugh:)
Tuesday we flew home bright and early and dropped daddy off at work, we came home and took a long nap that afternoon!
