Yesterday we headed North to the Polar express. We stopped in Anthem at the outlets for awhile and then headed up to Flagstaff to eat and over to Williams for our train ride. Kayden was SO excited to go on a train. The whole drive to Williams he was doing his train sound and arm movement (we still don't know who taught him the arm train move??? any takers b/c he had to have learned it somewhere?). Once we got to Williams he loved all the pretty lights and was so happy to see the train pull up. He ws giddy while we waited to board the train and could barely contain himself while we had to wait. Once we were on he was all smiles. The train ride was pretty cute and very festive. They had people dressed as elves and cookie chefs and train conductors come and see all the kids. We all got cookies and hot cocoa. Kayden thought he was so cool to get a whole cookie all to himself......he ate about 3/4 of it to my surprise! We read the story of the Polar Express and ended at a "North pole" that was decorated out of lights and Santa was there with Bernard. At the North Pole Santa boarded the train and came through to give all the kids a special present. Kayden was not a fan of Santa coming up to him but when Santa showed him his bell he decided he wanted the bell and grabbed it quickly from him. He liked watching Santa walk to the other kids but not him coming close to him. On the ride back we all sang Christmas carols and the elves danced and jumped up and down the aisle. Loved seeing you so excited to go on a train ride Kayden! I think we might have to travel by train sometime soon so that I can see you that happy again! You are too cute my little man!
After our train ride we changed Kayden into his PJs and drove home, he slept the whole way (and mommy slept part of the way)! What a fun Holiday tradition to
start:-)

You guys are the cutest little family! Looks like a blast! OK - I remember ONCE at storytime like a month ago, she did a train theme and was doing the arm movement ... could he possibly remember that!?!? Adorable pictures and count us in for next year for sure!
