6 Years OLD!!??

Kayden is now 6! REALLY? 6. I remember seeing 6 year olds when he was tiny and thinking that was FOREVER away. Nope. I blinked and it is here. That tiny baby I rocked all night long for months, the one that would only sleep on my chest and didn't like to leave my side or have anyone else take him out of my sight is now one of the most independent, strong willed, free spirited leaders I know. I remember holding him and dreaming about who he would become, loving getting to know him more and more everyday. And here he is. This amazing little person I was lucky enough to bring into the world. Lucky enough to get to have him call ME mommy. I can't believe in 12 years he will be touring college campuses, that is only DOUBLE the time I have had with him so far. These 6 years have FLOWN by. The quickest 6 years of my life. I really wish we could push slow-mo. But we can't so I'm going to just try my hardest to soak it all in. Be in the moments. Bug hunt with my bug hunter. Lizard search with my reptile wrangler:)

Happy 6 years little guy. You are my dream come true. The baby that made me a mommy. My first born son. You have taught me more than I ever thought a tiny human could in these short 6 years, I can't wait to see all the new stuff you open my eyes to in the days and years to come.
